We also focus on spreading God’s love through working together on missions, ministries and outreach to those local and far away. Warm Hearts in Winter
The Lord still warms our hearts even during the winter season. Through readings from God’s Word, to congregational singing and choir specials, to the teaching of the Bible in Sunday school, to the preaching of God’s Word, to Communion, to Bible study, to various gatherings, to fellowship meal gatherings we have been reminded of the goodness and greatness of God as well as our fellowship with one another in our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that what was written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Ephesus in the first century will be true of us at First Baptist Church of South Hill, Virginia today – “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)Our current sermon series is from the writings of the Apostle Peter, our Monday night Bible study is “God Alone” which is a study of the five “Solas” from the Reformation and why these biblical truths were important in the sixteenth century and why they are still important for us today.
