See you in September See you when the summer's through Here we are Saying goodbye at the station Summer vacation Is taking you away These are the lyrics from the song “See You In September” performed by a couple different artists.  This song always comes to mind in the June time frame just before people begin to take their Summer vacations.  Often we see church attendance fall during the Summer months.  However, here at First Baptist Church my observation was we still maintain a good attendance.  Of course folks took vacation. It was always a pleasure when they returned. The first part of September, for the most part Labor Day weekend, is considered the unofficial end of Summer.  Most vacations have ended, children are back in school, and we start to see the temperatures begin to drop. People get back into their same old routine. But here at First Baptist Church, we will break from the routine on one Sunday. On Sunday, September 17th, our message will come from Rabbi Derek Blumenthal of the Chosen Peoples Ministries.
